Each year, Poynter faculty teach more than 50,000 journalists around the world.
At any given time, there might be reporters in an online seminar learning about resiliency with Samantha Ragland ([link removed]) , executives in their newsrooms practicing difficult conversations with Cheryl Carpenter ([link removed]) , TV producers improving teases through virtual coaching with Al Tompkins ([link removed]) , leaders probing ethical decisions on a call with Kelly McBride ([link removed]) , fact-checkers convening at an international conference with Baybars Örsek ([link removed]) and visual journalists analyzing the latest news story in an On Poynt ([link removed]) with Joie Chen ([link removed]) .
Our mission is to provide relevant, transformative and immediately applicable training to all people working in news, fact-checking and educational organizations.
What you do to advance a free press is essential for democracy. We hope that our expertise, coaching and leadership inspire you to improve the industry we all value so deeply.
What do you want to learn next? We’d love to hear what you need help with. Send your suggestions to
