A personal message from Congresswoman Debbie Dingell

I’ve been fighting for Michigan’s families, a level playing field for working people, a strong economy, and the Great Lakes for a while now, friends. I’m more hopeful than ever about what we can accomplish in the next few years -- but only if we invest right now in ensuring we still have the tools to do the work in the future. That's why I'm asking you to support Haley Stevens, a strong leader in a battleground district, who I need by my side in Congress to continue making progress on these crucial issues.

You have to understand: Michigan women get it done. Haley Stevens ran for office because she knew advocating for us in Washington was the best way to keep making progress for Michigan. She worked with President Obama’s Auto Rescue Task Force to save 200,000 Michigan jobs during the Great Recession, and she hasn't stopped since - we're working together every day to support the auto industry, along with other businesses and manufacturers critical to Michigan's economy.

I work side by side with Haley on the bipartisan Problem Solvers Caucus, and her commitment to rolling up her sleeves and getting results impresses me every day. Haley works just as hard on big-ticket issues as those that won’t get a lot of press. She’s not in this to make headlines -- she’s in Congress to make a real difference for her constituents on issues that matter.

But national Republicans have already launched smear campaigns against her. They’re running negative ads and calling voters in Haley’s district to misrepresent her record and her values. She’s officially been named a top target of the National Republican Congressional Committee, and the attacks will only ramp up from here, because Haley represents one of the tightest battleground districts in the country.

With new district lines coming for 2022, we both need to prepare for all possible scenarios, and Haley's district is key to keeping Michigan blue. I know Michigan, and I know holding Haley’s seat is essential to continue making progress on the issues that matter most.
