Last week, President Biden called Republican attempts at voter suppression "sick" and "un-American" and compared the proposed policies to Jim Crow level suppression. President Biden pledged to assist the U.S. Senate in passing H.R. 1, a broad election bill drafted by Democrats that would expand voting rights and block the hateful bills seen across the country in Republican state legislatures. 

The Kansas legislature has considered bills just like the ones President Biden is warning against. Just last week, the Kansas House passed a resolution that condemned H.R. 1. 

 

 

 

President Biden pledged to do "everything in his power" to prevent these racist and divisive laws from wreaking havoc across our country. He will continue to work hard to keep the American public informed about the proposals sneaking their way through state legislatures.
