John, we're bumping this message from the Connecticut Democratic Party’s Treasurer regarding tomorrow's end-of-quarter fundraising goal.
The GOP voted against this month’s $1.9 trillion rescue package, and they’re standing against efforts in Connecticut to expand access to voting — now they’re hoping grassroots support for Democrats this fundraising quarter will be weak so they can win in this year’s municipal elections and next year’s midterm elections.

Original Message from Eloisa Melendez, Connecticut Democratic Party Treasurer:
John, I’m the Connecticut Democratic Party’s Treasurer — I’m checking in about our $15,000 end-of-quarter fundraising goal on Wednesday.
This is our FIRST major fundraising deadline since Democrats passed the historic American Rescue Plan to cut child poverty in half, extend unemployment benefits, deliver $1,400 relief checks, bring $2.6 billion in relief aid to Connecticut to help accelerate vaccine distribution and safely reopen our schools, and much, much more.
ZERO Republicans supported this legislation — now they’re watching to see how the American people respond. It’s critical that Democrats see a surge of grassroots support before Wednesday’s deadline to show Republicans that Americans will continue supporting Democrats’ build back better agenda throughout this year.
John, dozens of supporters from Washington have chipped in to help us reach our goal, and we’re about 30% of the way there — can we count on you to add your support today with a $10 donation?

Republicans are working hard behind the scenes to lay the groundwork for a comeback.
Next year they’ll be going all out to end Democrats’ U.S. House and Senate majorities, and what we do here in Connecticut before then will determine everything.
That’s why the Connecticut Democratic Party is working so hard to both support this year’s municipal candidates AND build a plan to win in next year’s midterm elections — and that’s why reaching this goal before Wednesday is so important. If you can, chip in before then to help Democrats win in Connecticut→
Thank you,
Eloisa Melendez
Connecticut Democratic Party Treasurer
