John, Georgia Republicans are forcing through bills that would end no-excuse mail voting, enact harsh voter ID laws, restrict early voting on the weekend and more. These bills are designed to suppress voting rights and target millions of Black voters and other voters of color. What we are witnessing is a massive and unabashed assault on voting rights and voter access unlike anything we have seen since the Jim Crow era — and I can't fight back without your urgent help. I’m up against my first-ever FEC deadline as Senator and multiple news outlets have listed me as the most vulnerable Democrat in the nation: I’m hoping I can count on you to give $ or whatever you can spare so we can defend Georgia and the Senate.

As the first-ever Black senator to represent Georgia in the U.S. Senate, I don't take progress for granted. You see, I wasn't born with a silver spoon in my mouth — I had 11 brothers and sisters and grew up in public housing. Years later, I went on to become the senior pastor at Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s church — and now, I'm fighting for families like mine in the Senate. I know what it's like to feel counted out before you even begin. That's what motivates me every day to work towards a future in which all of us have an opportunity to fulfill our God-given potential. I don’t take your support for granted. I intend to spend the next two years earning it by leading the fight to defend our voting rights, make health care more accessible and affordable for millions, combat climate change, and pull us through the crises of this pandemic and related economic fallout. We won Georgia and the Senate because we all chipped in and kept the faith: I’m asking you to donate toward my first-ever FEC deadline as Senator so we can build on those successes in these midterms.
Together, we will achieve a brighter future for our beloved country, Raphael
