Friend, I'm Kathy Jennings - a woman, a proud Democrat, and Delaware's Attorney General.

As the First State, Delaware has always been a state of leaders. There's no better time to reflect on what that means for our future than Women's History Month, when we recognize the many women who pushed for progress in our state and inspire me every day.

Women like Roxana Cannon Arsht, who led the way for women in Delaware's justice system by becoming our state's first female judge; or Vera Davis, our first woman State Senator, State House Majority Leader, and State Treasurer, who reshaped women's political rights in Delaware and paved the way for women like me to pursue public service.

Roxana and Vera shattered glass ceilings, and they are just two of the thousands of women who have impacted me and on whose shoulders I, and women like me, stand.

But Roxana and Vera's stories also remind me that there are so many more Firsts out there, just waiting for the chance to blaze trails of their own. Firsts like my friend Kamala Harris, a former Democratic Attorney General who now holds the highest office a woman has ever held in America, and who is inspiring a generation of girls and young women to lead.

We need more of that - and that's why over the next two years, Democratic AGs are working to recruit, support, and elect Democratic women to AG seats across the country.
