Dear John,

In this edition of Harambee, we have prepared a variety of exciting news, including a wonderful story about Emmanuel whose life was transformed through AE’s social action initiatives, plus insights about what life is like in a Kenyan slum and how we walk alongside the poorest of poor with the love of Jesus. We provide highlights from the 1973 landmark congress with Billy Graham and how we overcame segregation during this time, plus on the lighter side, a video from Ghana showing us how to make a traditional fufu dish!

During Easter we reflect on the unchangeable truth of Jesus, which remains forever even though the world in its present form is passing away (1 Cor 7:30). He will wipe away every tear and there will be no more mourning, crying or pain (Rev 21:4). He has given us peace and asks us not to be troubled or afraid (John 14:27). Through his death and resurrection, God exalted him to the highest place, and gave him the name that is above every name (Phil 2:9). Thank you for your kindness to the Lord’s brothers and sisters (Matt 25:40), who we know and report are in some of the most dire circumstances in the world.

God bless you and give you peace always. Thank you for the difference you are making amongst some of the poorest people on earth, giving hope through Jesus our Lord.
