Dear Friend, I hope this letter finds you and your family well. Here’s something I thought you might find amusing. A nun told me this joke: “In the beginning, God made everything. Now, everything is Made in China.” When she said this, I quickly checked the back of my tie. Thankfully, it said “Made in America.” We live in a time where we must regenerate our country economically, socially, and politically. I want to see Made In America on more of our things. I want to see a Made in America as a symbol of our pride and goodness. I want to see Made in America as a message to those who exploit our markets and only take from our system. Our politics should be Made in America as well—by good and decent people who care. I need your help. Our quarterly fundraising deadline is quickly approaching. These deadlines are crucial to ensuring that we have the resources to return to reasoned public policy. Can you consider a gift of $50, $100, or $250, or whatever you can afford, to help right now?
If you can give, I would truly appreciate it. Thank you, as always, for your friendship and your trust. Sincerely,
Jeff Fortenberry
