Hello -- I couldn't be more thrilled that the American Rescue Plan is now the law of the land. It was an honor to be at the White House as President Biden signed the bill. The sun was shining, the weather was warm -- after a long, cold winter we're finally seeing the light at the end of the tunnel.

I want to let you know about some of the great things in the American Rescue Plan. The law expands vaccine distribution to make sure states have what they need to vaccinate every adult as soon as possible. Under President Biden millions of people have already received the vaccine, and rates are only going up.

The law also delivers economic support to workers, families and small businesses -- including the restaurants and bars that have been hit hard by the pandemic. And it expands the child tax credit to cut child poverty in half.

It's been a long road to get this bill done. Everyone played a role -- including and especially you. You spoke out and you helped elect the Democratic leaders who got this law passed.
