John, as Women's History Month comes to an end, I'm asking you to support Governor Gretchen Whitmer. And here's why:
Gretchen Whitmer is only one of eight women governors in the entire country -- and she's been under constant attacks from the right, including Donald Trump.
It's no surprise that Donald Trump and his right-wing cronies zeroed in on Governor Whitmer throughout the last election. We've seen Trump taking issue with strong women who stood up to him when he was wrong.
But we didn't let these attacks distract us from the work we're doing in Michigan, and it sure didn't stop the governor from leading our state through this crisis.
I believe that my daughters, as well as every girl in Michigan and in our country, should be able to look up to their elected officials and see themselves. Supporting more women in politics should be something we're all fighting for -- and I am proud to be serving alongside Governor Whitmer.
Now, I'm asking for you to support Gretchen Whitmer as we close out Women's History Month by chipping in $10 today. The governor has led our state with decisive action that has helped save lives in this crisis, and she is the leader we need to help our economy recover and move our state forward. Your support will fuel our fight for gender equity in Michigan.
