We need your help? ? ? ? ? Friend ? earlier this month, a group of donors put up a match fund to triple every contribution to environmental campaigns. The fund expires at midnight on Wednesday, and we're still $42,000 short.

As deadlines go, this is a big one. President Biden is preparing to announce the details of a major clean energy and climate infrastructure package on Wednesday, teeing up the most important environmental fight of the year. The environmental movement needs to be ready to go big.

Based upon the vision we fought hard for President Biden to outline on the campaign trail last summer, we expect this package will include millions of green jobs to modernize our energy, transportation, and water infrastructure. This is the stuff that really moves the needle on climate change ? solar, wind, electric vehicles, green buildings and more.

But the oil industry is already ramping up pressure campaigns targeting key swing lawmakers in vulnerable seats. They are already spending ad dollars to try and block the transformative investments we need in clean energy and fighting to expand natural gas through more drilling and pipelines. How this plays it will depend on old-fashioned grassroots campaigning ? and we need your help.

We're fighting for a plan that builds 500,000 electric vehicle charging stations on highways and supercharges domestic manufacturing of electric vehicles. A plan that manufactures and installs tens of thousands of wind turbines and millions of solar panels.

But these investments have to prioritize communities that have been hurt most by pollution and climate change. That means demanding policies that put at least 40% of the investment in low-income communities, Tribal communities, and communities of color.
