Team,
History tells us that midterm elections are bad for the party that controls the White House.
Since the end of World War II, the presidential party in power has lost an average of 27 House seats in midterm elections, meaning that Democrats are going to be on the defensive in 2022.
Right now, our majority in the House is paper-thin. It’s going to be an uphill battle to hold onto our majority, because we can’t afford to lose even one seat in the House next year — let alone 27.
Wednesday is our end-of-month deadline (not end-of-quarter, as you may have seen from others — we file differently). NewDems are aiming to hit $3,000 raised for the month, which will put us on track to build a strong base for a defensive ground game in 2022. Are you with us? Chip in $5 or more now before Wednesday’s deadline:

This isn’t the only thing we’re up against in 2022, team: New district maps are being drawn this year based on 2020 census data, and the GOP is set to fully control redistricting for about two-fifths of all House seats, while Democrats will only hold sway over less than half that number. That means that Republicans have another advantage heading into 2022.
They probably think that they have it in the bag, but we say: Not so fast.
Democrats have been in Congress delivering for the American people — shots in arms and money in pockets. As long as we have the resources we need to remind voters that our Members are the ones getting things done, we will be in a good position heading into the midterms — but we’re counting on your support to get this done!
Ahead of Wednesday’s deadline, can you donate $5 or more to help us reach our $3,000 goal and defend NewDems in 2022? Click here to chip in now.
This is how it’s done. We build slowly, thoughtfully, with an eye on the prize. Let’s keep this House blue.
