This Thursday is the first day of Earth Month. It has become a tradition to get outside on Earth Day (April 22) to hike, to plant trees, or to pick up trash and find joy in the places you live. It’s also our biggest fundraiser of the year to support critical action to protect the warming planet.
We have so many ways you can join this year, so let’s dive in!
The Official (Recycled!) Earth Day T-Shirt:
We collaborated with Marine Layer again! They outdid themselves, and made an awesome shirt from their Re-Spun line, their tee recycling program. You can fundraise or donate $39 to get the shirt.
These shirts cost $15 each to produce and ship. Anything you donate or raise beyond that sustains our mission to protect our planet and the people on it.
It takes 5-10 business days to ship your shirt, so we suggest ordering it before April 8 to get yours by Earth Day (April 22). Shipping is only in the United States.
Virtual Activities:
We’ll be hosting virtual activities in April that are inspired by nature. On Thursday we’ll kick off the month with our first virtual activity:
Later this week, we’ll reveal the rest of the month’s FREE virtual activities, so keep your eyes peeled!
Where the Money Goes:
Each year, we count on Earth Month to raise important funds to sustain Sierra Club’s mission. This includes our legal, advocacy, organizing, and grassroots efforts to stop the climate crisis, retire coal plants and replace them with clean energy, and ensure that we all have clean air to breath and water to drink.
*Please allow 5-10 business days for arrival. Shipping is only available in the United States. If you create a fundraising page, you’ll receive an email with instructions to get your shirt after you raise $39.
