. Dear John,
I’m sure you’re as outraged as I am that Sen. Ron Johnson made national headlines again when he recently sided with the violent anti-democratic Capitol insurrectionists and drew a baseless racist comparison to Black Lives Matter protests.
The New York Times recently called Johnson “the Republican Party’s foremost amplifier of conspiracy theories and disinformation.”
His comments on climate change range from faulty science to outright denial, he’s promoted bogus treatments for Covid-19, and he’s repeatedly pushed a false narrative about the Capitol insurrection that undermines faith in our democracy.
Wisconsin needs leaders whose decisions are guided by science and evidence and who are committed to racial and environmental justice for everyone in the Badger State.
Johnson’s continued presence in the Senate is a huge impediment to bold climate action and racial justice.
Simply put: he has to go.
That’s why our message of bold climate action, healthy drinking water, and an inclusive democracy is so important as we work to elect leaders this April and beyond who will fight for a clean, healthy, equitable state for everyone who calls Wisconsin home.
