The finance team asked me to write an email to you with my soulmate. Then John showed up, and I said, “Leave.” 😂 So our favorite good boi Levi and I are here...
...and we just wanted to let you know that we’re less than 72 hours away from our *first* end-of-quarter deadline on March 31. We set an ambitious goal to raise $500,000 before then, and right now we’re running a bit behind.
Nothing makes me more uncomfortable than asking for money, John. But here I am because John, and this entire grassroots team, is worth it — and because this is our most important fundraising deadline yet. Folks like you chipping in a little bit at a time are going to make all the difference in this campaign, so I have to ask:
To be painfully honest with you, John, running for Senate costs *a lot* of money. A lot of people (like reporters and our opponents) will look at what we raise during the first quarter and make judgements about the strength of our campaign.
And look, I may rag on John 99% of the time, but he really is the best person I know — and I know he’d make us proud as Pennsylvania’s next Senator. He’s never had to “evolve” on the issues. He’s been fighting for LGBTQIA+ rights, immigrant rights, racial justice, social equity, legal weed, unions, and green solutions to the climate crisis for even longer than I’ve known him.
