Volunteer for ArlDems' Messenger Drive! Every year about 500 volunteers hand deliver the Democratic Messenger to over 55K doors in Arlington. This is one of the our most important get-out-the-vote initiatives and is especially important this year because we have important races locally, and we want our voters to know who the Democratic candidates are. Volunteers will get a packet of Messengers and a walk route map. There is no door-knocking and no voter contact - just leave the Messenger under the front door mat. You can deliver on your own schedule anytime between Sept. 21 and Oct. 10. Your Precinct Captain will contact you about getting your packet of Messengers to you. Sign up here! ([link removed])

Oktoberfest is almost here, so join the Arlington Young Democrats and the Arlington Democrats at the Continental Modern Pool Lounge this Saturday, October 5th from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm for our version-- Knocktoberfest! Do you want to flip the Virginia Legislature but aren't sure how to be more active in volunteering? Well, we have the right place for you. The Arlington Young Dems launched our campaign effort to Flip Virginia 2019 and you can help starting this weekend! As a bonus, AYDs who canvass for Wendy Gooditis this Saturday will receive complimentary tickets to the Brunch Reception in Support of Wendy on Sunday the 29th.

It's campaign season and time to focus on electing a Democratic state legislature. We have upcoming volunteer opportunities open to anyone who wants to come:

* 10:00 AM: Post event celebration
* Location: The Walk & 5K to End HIV will begin and end at Freedom Plaza (Pennsylvania Avenue and 13th Street, NW). The closest Metro stations are Federal Triangle (Blue/Orange lines) and Metro Center (Blue/Orange/Red lines).

Want to help elect Democrats in less than an hour a month? We're recruiting Arlingtonians who live in apartment and condo complexes to serve as building ambassadors. You'll arrange voter registration events, remind your neighbors about upcoming elections and welcome candidates to visit.

Being a building ambassador is easy and fun! Many of our ambassadors find it a great way to meet their neighbors. Arlington Democrats will provide you with all the help that you need.
