Hello,

I wanted to send you a note to update you on all that Derek has been doing this month to fight for you and your family.

First and foremost, Derek worked hard to get the American Rescue Plan passed and signed into law. This legislation is one of the most critical economic relief packages in the history of our country. Its passage is a huge win for hard-working families in Washington State and across the country who are now receiving another round of relief checks, enhanced unemployment benefits, and rental assistance.

The American Rescue Plan is also a huge win for small businesses, for K-12 schools, and for our frontline workers. The support for state, local, and tribal governments will be vital for protecting the jobs of public health workers, first responders, teachers, and others. That's why city officials gave Derek a shout-out earlier this month to thank him for his hard work in getting this bill passed.

Additionally, this comprehensive relief package provided funds for accelerated vaccine production and distribution. Thanks to this additional funding, over 100 million vaccine doses have been administered, and President Joe Biden expects all adults to be eligible for vaccines by May!

Passing the American Rescue Plan was no small feat, but that's not all Derek worked on this month. He also co-sponsored and helped pass the American DREAM and Promise Act, a comprehensive immigration reform bill that would provide a pathway to citizenship for our country's DREAMers. He co-sponsored and helped pass the Equality Act to ensure LGBTQ+ Americans are guaranteed equal protection under the law. He co-sponsored and helped pass the Protecting the Right to Organize (PRO) Act to strengthen the rights of workers and unions. And his own bill -- the Wild Olympics Wilderness and Wild and Scenic Rivers Act -- passed through the House. He's been busy!

Passing all of these critical bills would not have been possible without the Democratic majority, friend. If we want to keep moving forward on these critical issues, then Derek is going to need your help.

Our first end-of-quarter deadline of the year is on Wednesday, and Derek is counting on your support before then. Will you chip in $5, or whatever you can, to ensure we have the resources we need to protect Derek and the Democratic House Majority -- and to keep making progress?
