More than 20 groups around the country join the boycott effort Dear Supporter, Since we restarted our boycott of Israeli dates a couple of weeks ago, thousands of people have shared and seen our campaign material. Our teams in Chicago, New York, New Jersey, Dallas, Minneapolis and the Bay Area have been hard at work, visiting stores, talking to community members, and spreading the word on social media. We thank our partners: US Council of Muslim Organizations, Young Muslims, Muslim Ummah of North America, Majlis Shura New York, Council on American Islamic Relations, CAIR chapters in Austin, Dallas, Houston and New Jersey, Islamic Circle of North America, Within Our Lifetime, Muslim American Society and mosques across the US! In Chicago, our team met with store owners who took the pledge not to buy or sell Israeli dates. Check out two of them below: And be sure to check out our brand-new video about the date boycott that explains why it’s important to boycott Israeli dates. Here’s what you can do now:

P.S. This week, we commemorate a turning point in the Second Intifada also known as Operation Defensive Shield. This was the largest Israeli military operation to take place in the West Bank since the 1967 war, during which Israeli forces invaded the late Palestinian president Yasser Arafat’s Ramallah compound and six major cities in the West Bank. Hundreds of Palestinians were killed, thousands injured and more than 7,000 were detained in a series of attacks that would cement the occupation for decades to come. Our infographic on Facebook & Instagram explains more in detail about this moment in our history.
