John,
We’re close to hitting our goal of 100,000 actions calling on President Biden to appoint a champion to the FCC—someone who doesn’t have ties to the telecom industry and will help ensure everyone has access to reliable, affordable Internet.
Since you haven’t signed yet, can you quickly sign now?
We’re going to deliver these petitions next week, so make sure you add your name.

John,
Under the new administration, we have a path to finally reinstate net neutrality. But we can’t push forward until the Biden administration appoints a champion to the FCC.
And to make matters worse, the shortlist of FCC candidates includes people with ties to the telecom industry.1 We need someone who will fight for people, not protect Big Cable and Telecom!
Tell Biden: we need a functioning FCC, and we don’t need anymore telecom shills like Ajit Pai. Appoint a fifth commissioner who will restore net neutrality now!
TAKE ACTION
Net neutrality is the principle that everyone should have access to websites and apps, preventing Internet Service Providers (ISPs) like Comcast and Verizon from creating “fast lanes,” censoring content, throttling traffic, and even outright blocking access to their competitor's products.
Since 2017, when Trump’s FCC Chair Ajit Pai repealed net neutrality, ISPs have jacked up prices, bypassed rural and poor communities when laying Broadband networks, and even throttled the Internet for firefighters fighting massive fires in California.2,3,4
And in the past year, during a pandemic when people relied on the Internet for everything from work to school to accessing lifesaving information, millions of households lacked reliable, affordable Internet access.5
This is just unacceptable.
Biden could address these issues by appointing a champion to the FCC—someone who will take on the ISPs and prioritize access.
We can’t afford to wait any longer. Take a moment to send a message to Biden and demand he appoint a champion to the FCC!
Together for the net,
Caitlin at Fight for the Future
