Pro-Life Priorities are on the Senate Floor Right Now!

Today, the Texas State Senate is debating this session’s three abortion-related Pro-Life priorities. All three of these bills will directly ban abortions and save the lives of preborn children. These bills are:

- Senate Bill 8 by Senator Bryan Hughes (R-Mineola): The Texas Heartbeat Act, which will ban abortions after the preborn child’s heartbeat is detectable.
- Senate Bill 1173 by Senator Kelly Hancock (R-North Richland Hills): The Preborn NonDiscrimination Act, which will ban discriminatory abortions and the remaining late-term abortions in Texas.
- Senate Bill 1647 by Senator Charles Perry (R-Lubbock): The Texas Abolition Strategy, an omnibus bill that will ban all abortions within 4 years.

We expect all three Pro-Life priorities to receive a favorable vote from the Senate today. If they do, each bill will need one final vote to be sent to the Texas House. Today can be a monumental day for Life at the Texas Capitol, but the fight will continue until the bills get to Governor Abbott’s desk. We thank Lieutenant Governor Patrick for bringing SB 8, SB 1173, and SB 1647 to the floor. Let’s pray each receives a positive vote.
