Numbers aside, I'm so grateful to this team for rising to the occasion. Your contributions will power hundreds of candidates; this time next year, when I'm telling you about a city council that rallied to protect immigrant communities or a sheriff reforming criminal justice in their town, you'll know you're the reason those folks were able to run and win.
So what else do you need to know about today? The Guardian wrote about the same problem we're trying to fix here: "Democrats can’t execute a long-term political project without winning state-level races. Yet, the prize of the White House is distracting liberals from this fact". We're just over a month away from the 2019 election, so today is a great day to get to know our Virginia candidates, who just might help to flip both chambers next month. Lizzo wants her fans to run for something.
