As Vice Chair of the Connecticut Democratic Party, I want to make sure you know why this deadline is such a big deal — then I want to ask if you’ll chip in before Wednesday to help us raise the $15,000 we need to continue organizing for Democratic victories in municipal elections happening throughout this year.

We all know what happened after Democrats won big on Election Day last year — Donald Trump and countless Republicans lied about the results, culminating in a horrific insurrection at our nation’s capital on January 6th.

Since then, Democrats have remained focused on doing what the American people want: passing comprehensive legislation to tackle the pandemic and build back a better, more equitable country for every American through measures like this month’s American Rescue Plan.

But the CT GOP hasn’t moved on — they just elected a new Vice Chair of their own who actually attended the January 6th insurrection and continues to insist that it was a peaceful day. They’re also fighting against Democrat’s attempts to implement early voting and permanent absentee voting because they’re afraid of democracy.
