Here's the deal, John -- Republicans are pushing every anti-democratic and anti-human rights policy they can think of in the states. But we're responding, and with your help we'll win these fights!

Voter suppression. A.G. Holder called the 250+ bills making their way through state legislatures a "coordinated attack on voting rights that is unprecedented since the days of Jim Crow." These bills eliminate vote-by-mail, ban ballot drop boxes, and even prohibit volunteers from delivering food and water to people waiting in line to vote! And it's crystal clear that they're designed to lower turnout by communities of color.

We're working hard to stop them, but we need your help. Will you pitch in to our $120,000 end-of-quarter goal, John?

Criminalization of protest. In another "unprecedented" push, lawmakers in nearly one in five states have introduced bills that would crack down on protests, including bills that offer legal protections to people who shoot or run over protesters.

Anti-trans legislation. Legislators in more than two dozen states have introduced bills attacking the human rights of trans individuals, particularly trans youths.

All of these things go hand in hand, John. Voter suppression and gerrymandering helps Republicans stay in power so they can then pass extremist policies. We need to stop it at the root -- and that's exactly what the NDRC is doing:
