Democrats have made incredible gains in Virginia. We’ve elected two Democratic senators, held the governor’s mansion, flipped the General Assembly, and won a majority in the congressional delegation.

But these gains were not inevitable -- and holding on to them is not guaranteed. Here’s the harsh reality, folks: If we get complacent, Virginia Republicans could wipe out decades of work in just one election. Will you rush a contribution to the Democratic Party of Virginia now so we can make sure that doesn’t happen?

The Virginia GOP thinks they have the upper hand heading into November’s election -- and they’re not entirely wrong. That’s because the party that loses the White House typically wins in Virginia the following year.

The good news is that Virginia Democrats are in the business of making history. It won’t be easy, but we can defy the trend, hold on to the governor’s mansion, and expand our majority in the General Assembly. Then, we’ll be able to pass even more progressive legislation.

But we’re going to have to work for it -- and that’s where you come in. Will you pitch in before our end-of-month deadline to give us the resources we need to help Democrats win up and down the ballot in November?
