Dear John,

For more than 30 years, the Land for Maine's Future program has protected some of Maine's most beautiful and important natural and recreational areas. Places like Coos Canyon in Western Maine, Beech Hill Preserve in Rockport, and Bradbury Mountain in Pownal. In fact, it's protected more than 600,000 acres of forests, farms and land for recreation in all 16 counties across the state.

But after years of inaction and neglect, the wildly popular LMF program is in desperate need of additional resources — and lawmakers in Augusta are dragging their feet on taking action to fund this critical program to protect these beautiful parts of Maine.

Here at MCV, we're not taking this lying down. We are ramping up our organizing efforts to push this over the finish line — but it requires grassroots supporters like you to have our backs so we can continue the fight.

At MCV, we can stretch a dollar pretty far — but the truth is, an urgent fight like this requires resources, and the best thing you can do to help is to make a gift to MCV right now [[link removed]] .

A group of MCV's committed board members will TRIPLE MATCH every dollar we raise between now and March 31 to have the resources available to advocate for the Land for Maine's Future program and ensure our other priority bills are passed this year.

Will you chip in $35, $50, or whatever you can to take advantage of these generous matching funds? [[link removed]]

MCV gives you—someone who loves Maine's environment—a powerful political voice. With your support, we will keep fighting for the Land for Maine's Future program and for our other top legislative priorities, including:

· Recognizing tribal sovereignty

· Banning aerial herbicide spraying on our forests

· Stopping Maine landfills from filling up with out-of-state waste

· Revolutionizing recycling so that producers (not tax-payers) are held accountable

· Allowing the Public Utilities Commission to include climate and environmental justice in decision making

· Establishing a Green Bank to finance climate solutions

· Phasing out toxic PFAS chemicals

· Funding energy efficiency and weatherization projects

Your thoughtful gift, triple matched today, will do so much to help create the better future we know is possible for ourselves and generations to come. Click here to triple your impact and donate whatever you can to help protect the Maine we all love. [[link removed]]

Warmly,

Rani
