And just last week, the Supreme Court of Canada reaffirmed that the federal government can continue to ensure that pollution isn’t free, as part of our comprehensive action to fight climate change.
Canadians know that climate change is real, and that we need urgent action to rise to the challenge. That’s why Justin Trudeau and our Liberal team are moving forward with a new strengthened Climate Plan for a healthy environment and a healthy economy, committing Canada to net-zero emissions by 2050, planting two billion trees over the next 10 years, making crucial investments in public transit and electric transportation infrastructure, and so much more.
