GREATER GEORGIA LAUNCHES DIGITAL AD CAMPAIGN TO SUPPORT ELECTION REFORM LEGISLATION

ATLANTA – Today, Greater Georgia launched a digital ad campaign in support of the Election Integrity Act passed by the Georgia General Assembly and signed into law by Governor Brian Kemp. The campaign will run statewide as well as in targeted districts of key lawmakers who championed the legislation. The ad highlights Greater Georgia's commitment to restoring election integrity, showcases the components of the Election Integrity Act, (S.B. 202) and encourages viewers to thank their state legislators for their leadership by signing a petition of support.

"The inconsistencies and loss of faith in Georgia’s elections in 2020 drove the clear need for reform. Thanks to the leadership of the Georgia legislature, our state has taken an important step forward in the effort to restore election integrity," said Kelly Loeffler, Chairwoman of Greater Georgia. "The Election Integrity Act will help secure our elections, expand access, and restore confidence in the process. Greater Georgia is proud to support these measures and encourages Georgians to thank their legislators for strengthening integrity and expanding voting access in the Peach State."

Free, fair, and secure elections. In 2020, many states – including Georgia – made rapid, inconsistent changes to our elections, destroying voter confidence.

Thankfully, the Georgia legislature recently passed comprehensive voting reforms to increase access, secure ballots, and restore trust. Requiring ID to vote by mail, strengthening ballot integrity, and preventing ballot harvesting. Banning local election boards from accepting outside money, counting legal votes only.

Greater Georgia proudly supports these measures. Thank the Georgia legislature for securing and protecting our elections.

BACKGROUND

S.B. 202 is a comprehensive bill that strengthens election integrity and expands voting access. Among other things, S.B. 202:
  • Requires state ID to request an absentee ballot
  • Prevents fraud by requiring ballots to be printed on security paper
  • Creates a voting-fraud hotline
  • Bans local boards of elections from receiving outside money.
