MARCH ON is dedicated to increasing voter turnout and driving Democrats to the polls. Our data-driven solutions helped defeat Donald Trump in in 2020. Now, we're gearing up to hold the House and Senate in 2022 to advance our progressive agenda.
Listen -- Mitch McConnell is working around the clock to suppress the right to vote to take back a Senate majority.
So our Democratic Senate is fighting to pass H.R. 1 - The ‘For The People Act’ - to safeguard our Democracy from voter suppression laws and tactics that gave us Donald Trump in the first place.
Look Friend -- the House has already passed their version of this bill, and President Biden has already pledged to sign it into law the moment it lands on his desk.
What does the For The People Act have to offer?
It would enact nationwide Automatic Voter Registration
It would put an end to partisan gerrymandering
It would require Trump and future Presidents to disclose their taxes
It would expand eligible days and hours to vote, shortening lines and providing greater access to participate in democracy
And it would stop state Republicans from passing dozens of racist, anti-democratic voter suppression laws before 2020
2020 gave us hope. Voter turnout was at an all-time high. But we will never forget the suppression tactics employed in states like Georgia that resulted in hours-long voting lines like this:
We won’t stand for it. We can’t stand for it. This isn’t how our democracy is supposed to function.
So as a Democrat, a progressive, and a March On activist, we’re calling on you and your network to take action today to help Democrats pass H.R. 1.
