March 31 marks the end of the quarter. We’re getting ready for an
important stretch of the 2022 congressional primary season — recruiting
candidates, launching progressive primaries, and taking on the Democratic
establishment.

We need to show strong grassroots support, so the establishment sees a
progressive movement ready to transform the Democratic Party. A strong
fundraising haul before the end of the quarter will help support the next
class of Justice Democrats as we announce challenges to corporate
Democrats.

critical primaries where progressive policies like Medicare for All and
the Green New Deal are on the line?

Our average donation this month is just $17.89 because Justice Democrats
rely on grassroots support, not corporate PACs. The DCCC — an arm of the
Democratic establishment — raised $11.5 million in February because it
takes huge sums from corporate PACs. We’re trying to raise just a small
fraction of that in March to show our grassroots movement’s power against
the big money the DCCC brings in from private health insurance, oil & gas,
and big tech PACs.

All that corporate PAC money flows into the Democratic establishment to
stop progressive policies like Medicare for All, a Green New Deal, strong
labor protections, a $15 minimum wage, and much more. The Democratic Party
needs to stop putting corporate donors over the interests of the people.
When we run progressive primaries, we make that case directly to voters.
And, John, we
can win more races and add to the Squad in Congress.
