John --

I’m writing to ask you to make a contribution to my campaign before Wednesday’s FEC fundraising deadline. We’re coming up a bit short of our goal, so I want to let you know why your donation of $3 is so important -- especially right now.

As March comes to an end, it’s incredible to look back on the progress we’ve made. For starters, we passed the American Rescue Plan, which President Biden signed into law. This historic legislation is delivering needed relief to the American people to overcome the pandemic. We have provided survival checks, direct relief to cities and local governments in need, unemployment assistance, billions toward a national vaccination program, resources to reopen schools, and much more.

This was a huge win for our country, and it would have never been possible without your help keeping the House, retaking the White House, and flipping the Senate. But we’d be naive to think this type of progress will last without putting in more hard work.

Already the Republicans are trying to get one step ahead. They’ve added me to their list of “top House targets” to flip in 2022. We’re one of just four districts in California they’re targeting.

I’m confident we’ll be able to hold this seat, but only if we meet the mark on our grassroots fundraising goals along the way, which is why I’m asking:

Will you help us get a head start on our FEC deadline by chipping in a donation today? Despite our progress, grassroots fundraising has been on the slower side lately, and just $3 will go a long way in helping us meet our goal.

If you've saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will go through immediately:

There’s much more progress to be made, John. Bills like H.R.1 to protect our democracy and H.R. 8 to expand universal background checks are all possible if we hold our ground.

At a time like this, we cannot slow down, and we cannot afford to lose the majority. That’s why this fundraising deadline is so important:

Please chip in $3 toward our FEC fundraising goal today >>

Thanks in advance,

Mike
