I wanted to take a moment to take a step back and say thank you. Thank you to everyone that has engaged with Groundwork Project. Either through a donation, attending an event, sharing our social media content, or simply following our work. Because of you, we are positioned to make a real impact and do a lot of work to build sustained organizing power nationwide over the next year and beyond.
For me, I’ve been focusing first on how we can make an impact to meet the moment in the Commonwealth, and my home, of Massachusetts.
I’m proud to introduce you to efforts like Democracy HUBS that are building sustained power in every corner of the Commonwealth and in every community. We’re still raising critical resources to help them close their 2021 budget gap. You can help by contributing here.
We saw this week how critical sustained, long-term, 365-days-a-year organizing is. The latest voter suppression attempts in Georgia are appalling. The ONLY way to overcome these attempts is by continuing to lean on the organizations and activists on the ground to lead the way. And it’s our job to ensure they have resources -- both financially and through volunteer support -- to make their impact.
GWP believes that dramatic investment in community organizing is the single best way to remedy injustice, build power in disenfranchised communities, and create a future that is inclusive, representative and innovative.
My team is currently identifying organizations and activists who would make an impact with the right resources. Donate here to our GWP Grant Fund and we will be sure to funnel your contribution to where it can make a difference.
Once again, thank you for your support. Feel free to flag for my team efforts you see nationwide that need support or a platform to make an impact.
Joe
