John -- If you were wondering why six of our battleground states are in the South, it's because what happens in that region could determine the direction of the entire country.

Our battleground states in the South have 107 U.S. House seats between them and could gain even more based on new census data. So it couldn't be more important that the maps in these states are drawn fairly.

The problem is, Republicans will control the redistricting process in many of these states – and they've told us over and over that they don't care about fairness.

So we have our work cut out for us. That's why we started early, investing in our battleground states beginning in 2017 and getting on the ground to give Democrats the best possible chance of securing maps that give every community an equal say in our democracy.
