John, we wanted to tell you a little bit about our mom, Carolyn Maloney.
Ever since we can remember, she’s been working to make the world a better place — and those values were present all throughout her life. We’ve seen first-hand her commitment to fight for what we believe in, the same way that she’s continuously striven to protect our environment, advance the rights of women, and protect democracy.
We’re so proud of the work our mom has done for the country, and we want her to keep it up — but it isn’t easy. With redistricting on the horizon this election could be the toughest of her career.

The truth is, no one knows what the political makeup of our mom’s district will look like next year — redistricting means that it could change dramatically, and we need to prepare for every possibility.
And then there’s the political reality: our mom is Chair of the House Oversight Committee — she’s a strong woman in a position of power advocating for progressive policies. You don’t have to think too hard to imagine how that makes her right-wing opponents feel.
