I have to be honest with you, John: I'm worried.

Yes, we finally have a Democratic administration and the chance to make unprecedented progress for American families. But I'm worried because all that progress depends on us holding on to our extremely slim one-vote Democratic Senate majority.

Right now, the road to Senate control runs right through Nevada, where my friend Catherine Cortez Masto is defending a seat she won by just over 2 points in 2016. CNN is calling Nevada one of the most likely seats to flip, and Republican outside groups are already launching a series of vicious attack ads against Catherine.

That's why I'm asking for your help right now, John: Will you rush a donation of $5 or more to give Catherine the resources she needs to win in Nevada and keep the Senate blue? I'm counting on you to come through before midnight.

Catherine always fights for what's right, whether it's affordable health care, climate action or immigration reform. And we would never have flipped the Senate without her tireless efforts as the chair of the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee. Now it's our turn to fight for her.

Mitch McConnell and the GOP are already determined to flip this critical seat, and Catherine's facing an incredibly tough - and expensive - reelection campaign. In 2016, outside groups spent more than $50 million to defeat her - and Senate Republicans are about to launch their first attack ad. With Senate control on the line in Nevada, I'm betting they'll spend - and do - even more to defeat her this time around.

If we're going to reelect Catherine and protect our tenuous Democratic Senate majority, I need everyone on this grassroots team to pitch in - including you, John. It's never been more important for Catherine to have a strong showing - this is her first and possibly most important end-of-quarter deadline in 2021: Donate $5, or more if you can, to keep Nevada and the Senate blue.
