A new FBI report warns that white supremacists are actively infiltrating our law enforcement and military. These groups are meant to serve and protect our communities, but instead they're becoming breeding grounds for hatred and white supremacy.
White supremacist violence has been a constant threat to our democracy. Now that we have a Democratic majority in Washington, we must do everything we can to root out white supremacy in all our public systems, from law enforcement to Congress.
Our Democratic leaders are hard at work to reform the criminal justice system and dismantle institutionalized white supremacy in our country. But it's hard for our leaders to dismantle systemic racism when their GOP colleagues are fostering the problem.
And this critical work isn't just difficult -- it's dangerous. Leaders like Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez who are vocal in the fight against white supremacy were hunted down by white nationalists on Jan. 6, and they're still targeted every day by those who want to permanently silence people of color.
