Members of Congress are often told that they should spend up to five hours
each day on "call time" — time solely dedicated to calling up mega-donors
and PACs to get big checks and ensure reelection. That's more than half of
a regular work day.

But as the chair of the Congressional Progressive Caucus and a leader who
is championing a wealth tax, Medicare for All, and a $15 minimum wage,
Pramila is keeping her priorities straight: Legislating and fighting for
working Americans.
