John: The New York Times is reporting that Wisconsin Senator Ron Johnson has replaced Trump as “the Republican Party's foremost amplifier of conspiracy theories and disinformation.” So we're going to kick him out of the Senate.
Johnson, a chairman of the Senate Homeland Security Committee, has mounted a full-blown effort to dismiss the Capitol riot on January 6 as “jovial” and “festive,” claiming that Trump supporters weren't even there. In fact, Johnson brazenly told reporters he would have been more afraid of the rioters who stormed the Capitol building if they had been Black Lives Matter supporters.
We're not surprised by these comments, John. This is coming from the same man who promoted discredited COVID-19 treatments, toted anti-vaxxer conspiracy theories, and believes climate change is a hoax.
