I'm writing to let you know about something that's been on my mind all month: the FEC filing deadline on March 31.

 

I know that my team and I have reached out to you about this before -- but I'm scared that if we don't have a strong showing in our fundraising in the next few days, the GOP will make bolder moves to target my seat.

 

I know you've been keeping up with all our legislative wins in the House these past few weeks. We've been able to make progress on the Violence Against Women Act, the For The People Act, and the DREAM Act -- but this progress will stall if we don't act now.

 

We're extremely close to our end of quarter deadline -- in fact, it's in just four days -- and we're still about $4,750 short of where we need to be. I want to ensure anyone who looks at our fundraising record knows that PA-05 is a Democratic stronghold -- but right now, that's simply not the case. We look vulnerable.

 

If we can pull ahead now, it'll be a huge relief to get to spend more time focusing on working for the families of PA-05 in the House and less time worrying about whether this seat will be seen as a GOP opportunity.

 

I can't keep my attention on the fight for progress if we don't hit our fundraising goals -- losing this district would be devastating for my constituents, Pennsylvania, and it would impact everyone across the country by threatening our House majority.
