We couldn’t let Women’s History Month pass without highlighting one of our first recruits, and the first Brand New Congress candidate to win her race -- a campaign that required insurmountable courage, and changed the trajectory of our movement forever.

Last month, she visited Texas to deliver some much needed relief and stress the importance of passing a Green New Deal. While Ted Cruz was busted jetting off to Cancun, AOC dropped everything she was doing to help Texans in need.

In addition to delivering meals and supplies to people left stranded without power and water, AOC marshalled the movement and raised over $5 Million dollars in relief funds!

AOC is also working to empower the people of Puerto Rico. Last week she introduced the House version of the Puerto Rico Self-Determination Act of 2021.
