John -- We knew that getting the For the People Act through the Senate would be a tough slog. Now Republicans are making it even tougher with a $10 million effort to oppose the legislation and support voter suppression bills in the states.

Fight for voting rights >>> [link removed]
"Everybody shouldn't be voting?" They've certainly been saying the quiet part out loud more than usual lately. But even though Republicans are being uncharacteristically open about the intentions behind their voter suppression bills -- they help the GOP stay in power -- a sudden infusion of $10 million means they could very well be successful.
Unless we can fight back. We know we don't have any Republican billionaires among our grassroots supporters so we won’t be asking you for $10 million. But we will gratefully take whatever you can give and put it immediately toward the URGENT fight to protect and expand voting rights and block the GOP's attempts to cement power through the manipulation of electoral maps.
This is truly a critical turning point in our democracy. We have one chance to get the For the People Act passed before Republicans lock in near-permanent majorities through voter suppression and gerrymandering. Will you pitch in now?
