Arlington, TX — The State Republican Executive Committee, a body that serves as the governing board of the Republican Party of Texas, voted Saturday afternoon by a 43-9 margin (with seven abstaining) to endorse Susan Wright for Congress.
"I'm truly honored to receive the endorsement of the hard-working conservative men and women of the SREC," said Susan Wright. "Thank you, Texas GOP, for your trust and support — together, we’re uniting the party to #KeepTexasRed."
"Today's endorsement by the SREC is truly unprecedented and an incredible show of support for Susan Wright," said Steve Atwell, SREC committeeman for SD-9. "Susan is a battle-tested conservative leader and this announcement proves that Republicans are uniting behind Susan Wright for Congress."
"Susan Wright is a proven conservative who’s never afraid to stand up for what she believes in," said Anne Gebhart, SREC committeewoman for SD-9. "As an SREC committeewoman herself who connects regularly with grassroots Republicans, she understands our concerns and fights for our values -- and I know she'll always be there for us in Congress."
"I’m so proud to endorse Susan Wright for Congress," said Deon Starnes, SREC committeewoman for SD-30. "If Republicans are going to keep the 6th District red, we need to unite behind a candidate like Susan who can take the fight to the Democrats. TX-06 has a winner in Susan Wright."
Susan has been endorsed by over 200 individuals and organizations, including five members of the Texas Congressional delegation: Reps. Lance Gooden, Jodey Arrington, Chip Roy, Kay Granger, and Troy Nehls.
