Since Republicans lost the White House and the Senate in 2020, they have been running a coordinated campaign across the country to destroy the system of voting rights that civil rights activists bled for. Republicans say they're trying to secure our democracy, but we all know that's not true. All they really care about is securing their grip on power.
 
And now, Ted Cruz was caught on tape admitting to what we've known all along: Republicans are willing to drag voting rights in our country back to the Jim Crow era if it will make it harder for Democrats to win.
 
They can't win on the campaign trail, so they're attacking our democracy instead — and every single one of their bills hurts voters of color.
