Team,
When Facebook banned political ads for four months even after the November elections, it left people-powered campaigns like ours with few options for bringing new people into our movement. And while Facebook recently lifted the ban, quite frankly, we haven't recovered.
And because we have so much ground to make up, we've set a bold $200,000 end-of-quarter goal that we must meet by midnight on March 31.
Sure, there are Republican and Democratic candidates alike who can make up any money lost from digital ads by calling up mega-donors and asking them to cut a big check.
Not Ilhan -- she believes in a campaign that's accountable to the people, not rich donors or corporate PACs.
That's why digital ads are so critical to reaching people who believe in our shared vision of total student debt cancellation, Medicare for All, and urgent solutions that meet the scale of the economic and public health crisis we're facing.
Let's show the wealthy and powerful the strength of a movement that puts people over profit. Will you make your first donation of $5 or more to help us meet our $200,000 end-of-quarter goal so we can invest in digital ads to reach new supporters and build our movement for progress?
While some members of Congress would rather give a personal audience to wealthy donors, Ilhan gives voice to the progressive issues that matter most.
Investing in our digital ads program is crucial in growing our movement so Ilhan can keep her focus off fundraising and on listening to the concerns of folks in Minnesota's Fifth District, holding the corrupt accountable, and fighting to turn our progressive values into policy. [link removed]
So, if you are able, please chip in $5 or whatever you can toward our critical $200,000 end-of-quarter goal to help make crucial investments in our digital ads program and keep powering our small-dollar movement to bring about the change we believe in.
Thank you,
Claire Bergren
