It’s the 27th day of the month, so if you guessed that I’m emailing you about another fundraising deadline, you guessed correctly (and you can make a donation here >>).

I’ll tell you why this one’s important.

Last year, conservative PACs and deep-pocketed politicians like Ted Cruz threw their weight behind my far-right opponent in an effort to unseat me.

But thanks to thousands of people like you who volunteered their time and chipped in their hard-earned dollars to take a stand for what’s right, we held off the GOP’s dark-money machine -- one phone call, one text, one $5, $25, and $50 donation at a time.

Now, my team is coming up on our first FEC deadline since the National Republican Congressional Committee announced I’m one of their top targets again in 2022. It’s critical we post strong fundraising numbers that show we still have an army of supporters behind us ready to defend this seat.

I’m proud to say that our average email donation this quarter is just $27 -- but that means we need to bring in a whopping 485 donations over the next few days to meet our end-of-quarter fundraising goal.

So, I’m asking: Will you chip in our average donation of $27 on the 27th to help us hit this important benchmark?
