Tell President Biden:
Sabotage from Trump holdovers at the Social Security Administration is unacceptable! Fire Andrew Saul and David Black immediately!

John,
Andrew Saul and David Black are feeling the pressure.
As Social Security Works ramped up our campaign to ensure that President Biden prioritizes pro-Social Security leadership at the Social Security Administration, our allies uncovered that SSA was preventing 30 million Americans from getting the $1400 stimulus checks they were owed, which provoked a firestorm of outrage.
Saul and Black relented, and the checks will go out soon. But as long as Saul and Black remain, they will keep undermining our Social Security system. That’s why they have to go.
Already, more than 60,000 people have signed our urgent petition to President Biden. Can you help us get to 100,000 by Monday? Sign here today!
Commissioner Saul released an extremely defensive statement after relenting, claiming that there was a bureaucratic error that prevented him from releasing the data―let’s be clear: That’s a lie.
Saul’s defense relies on a technicality involving the funds that the Social Security Administration is allowed to access, but a Ways & Means Committee spokesperson told Newsweek:1
“[Though] funds could not be directly appropriated because of the reconciliation process, but they were appropriated to Treasury with the intent that they would be distributed to SSA in a timely manner, so this line of defense doesn't hold.
“It inexplicably took two weeks for the transfer to happen after the American Rescue Plan was signed into law, which is a clear failure of leadership from SSA.”
No more excuses. No more lies. We need accountability.
Sign the petition today!
Thanks,
Michael Phelan Social Security Works
