These past few months have been a great challenge to the American people. We’ve weathered an insurrection at the Capitol, extremists challenging our democracy, inaugurating Joe Biden, and now getting COVID relief to the people of New Jersey. I have no doubt that this period will be remembered as one of the most significant times in American history.

But there’s so much more work to be done.

Extremism is still alive and well, we have many important reform bills waiting for a vote in the Senate, and the National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) is already targeting me.

2022 promises to be an uphill battle — it’s historically been a tough race for the majority party. Add redistricting and the NRCC’s cash advantage to the mix, and we have a potential disaster on our hands.

To prevent this, we need to invest in this race early. It’s time to get our grassroots infrastructure set up so we can reach as many voters as possible. I’ve set an ambitious goal ahead of our first Federal Election Commission (FEC) filing deadline of the year. We need $20,000 in the door by the end of the month. This is our first public filing of the year. Meaning, everyone will have their eyes on us, especially the NRCC. They’re already targeting me, and if I show any signs of weakness, I know for a fact that they’ll pour resources into this race. [link removed] [[link removed]] Remember, not a single Republican voted for the final passage of the American Rescue Plan in the House. This extremist, partisan mindset is what they want to replace me with in 2022. We don’t need a far-right radical in this seat.

National Republicans are aiming their resources at our District, and they’re banking on the historical trends that will favor them. Only consistent strength from the grassroots will overpower them. But right now we’re being outraised.
