*Happy Older People's Day!*

It is with great pleasure that I welcome you to this special edition of the Age Friendly Nottingham (AFN) Bulletin.

As many of you will be aware, AFN marks International Older People's Day annually on 1st October. For 2019, Nottingham City Council are pleased tobe able to publicly support the nationalcampaign to reduce ageist attitudes and behaviour. It would be great if organisations across the city would also sign the pledge.

At 2.00 pm today, Councillor David Mellen, Leader of the Council, and I will be signing the pledge on behalf of Nottingham City Council at a special event for Older Citizens on 'Avoiding Scams, Doorstep Crime and Staying Safe'.

We look forward to meeting some of you at the event at Loxley House but if not, whatever you are doing, I hope you have an enjoyableday.
