John -- Last night, Georgia's Republican governor, Brian Kemp, signed one of the worst voter suppression bills in the country into law. Among other things, it limits the use of ballot drop boxes, allows electors to challenge the eligibility of an unlimited number of voters, allows partisan lawmakers to initiate takeovers of election boards, and even prohibits groups from providing food and water to people waiting in Georgia's notoriously long voting lines .

Here's what the bill signing looked like:

Gov. Kemp tweet: I was proud to sign S.B. 202 to ensure elections in Georgia are secure, fair, and accessible. I appreciate the hard work of members of the General Assembly to make it easy to vote and hard to cheat. Depicted: Six white men in suits standing behind Gov. Kemp as he sits at the table, signing a bill.

NDRC Chair Eric Holder immediately responded:

"The passage of the Georgia anti-democracy bill (SB 202) is a shameful attempt to silence the will of the people, and harkens back to dark chapters in Georgia’s history... What has been done in Georgia today is simply un-American."

We won't let this stand, John. We will continue to fight voter suppression bills wherever Republicans introduce them. We will continue to champion passage of the For the People Act and the John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act. We will continue to take on manipulated maps so that every vote counts equally.

Can you help us do it? Let's send a message to the GOP: We will never stop fighting for fairness.
