Last night, as old white men surrounded Georgia's Republican Governor signing away voting rights, an African American legislator knocked on the closed door wanting to bear witness to the tragedy.

Did they let Rep. Park Cannon in? No. THEY ARRESTED HER AND CHARGED HER WITH A FELONY!

We know Park. We named her a progressive champion when she ran in 2018!

It's disgusting that Republicans are so scared of voters and the rising diverse electorate. Georgia's voter suppression will hurt Rev. Raphael Warnock's re-election in 2022 and Park Cannon's allies down ballot.

SIGN ON: I support ending the filibuster and passing the John Lewis Voting Rights Act and the For The People Act that will override state voter suppression laws and protect our democracy. And, chip in to Rev. Warnock and groups on the ground engaging Black voters in 2022.

In 2020, over 40,000 PCCC members donated nearly $700,000 to help local groups in Georgia engaging voters in the Black, Latinx, youth, and Asian American and Pacific Islander communities -- and their victories gave us the Democratic majority in the Senate and President Biden's win in Georgia. Their work just got much harder -- and even more important.
