But now, Republicans in Georgia and across the country are waging an all-out assault on our voting rights to stop us from winning the next election. Just yesterday, Georgia's GOP governor signed into law a bill that restricts absentee voting, imposes harsh voter ID rules and even bans people from handing out food or water in long poll lines.

It's immoral. It's anti-democratic. It’s Jim Crow in new clothes – and we must fight back immediately.

This is alarming: Republican lawmakers across the country are trying to ram through more than 250 new voter suppression bills that will make it harder for people to vote. Experts are calling these voter suppression bills the most coordinated attack on our right to vote since Jim Crow.

Because the thing about these bogus measures isn't just that they're trying to shut Democrats out of office – it's that they are specifically targeting Black voters and other voters of color.
